Butman, Boris S.
Boris Butman received his master of arts from Shipbuilding College and his PhD from Water Transport Institute of Technology, both in St. Petersburg, Russia. He has served as an operations superintendent for Exxon International and is a professor of engineering at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Butman is a member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME), Naval Engineers, and Industrial Engineers. He is the coauthor of Marine Engineering Economics and Cost Analysis and coeditor of Modern Marine Engineer's Manual, Volume I, Third Edition.
