Johnson, Gene
Gene Johnson (1902–1982) was a model maker for most of his life. Many of the airplanes and warships that served in World War II were built from large-scale models on which Johnson worked. In peacetime, he constructed models of planes and navy ships, but also any kind of industrial model from railroads, cars, and trucks to factories, bridges, and power dams. He was the author Ship Model Building, Third Edition.
