Keiper, Ronald R.
Ronald R. Keiper, PhD, dean of science at Valencia Community College in Orlando, Florida, was formerly distinguished professor of biology at the Pennsylvania State University. Keiper has published more than forty scientific papers in international journals like Animal Behaviours, Journal of Animal Science, Applied Animal Behaviour Science, Journal of Mammalogy, and Equine Veterinary Journal. Keiper has conducted research on horses in the United States, Germany, and the Netherlands. In 1984 he was awarded a senior research fellowship from the Fulbright Foundation to study the behavior of Przewalski’s horse in the Munich Zoo. Keiper is the author of The Assateague Ponies.
