Meacham, Margaret

A member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers, the Authors Guild of America, the Poets and Authors Association, and the Women’s National Book Association, Margaret Meacham is a graduate of Trinity College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree, and the University of Maryland, where she received a master of library science degree.

Meacham is the recipient of the Highlights for Children award for “Rabbit’s New Neighbor” in 1984 and the humorous fiction award from Highlights for Children in 1985 for “It All Started With the Ant.”

She has published several books for children and young adults including Oyster Moon and The Secret of Heron Creek. Meacham teaches writing in the graduate writing program at Towson University.
