Born and raised in Maryland, M. Christopher New is a self-confessed Anglophile and a lover of local history. He is the author of Maryland Loyalists in the American Revolution. In addition, he is a filmmaker, scriptwriter, and author of many articles on the role of Maryland in United States history. He has been honored with screenwriting awards by both the Houston and Charleston International Film Festivals.
