Susan T. Pickford grew up in a rural area outside of Charlottesville, Virginia. She earned a bachelors degree from James Madison University. Pickford worked as an elementary school teacher until she married, then she started turning her stories for her students into children’s books. She is the author of It’s Up to You, Griffin!
