Thomas J. Schoenbaum is Dean and Virginia Rusk Professor of International Law and executive Director of the Dean Rusk Center for International and Comparative Law at the University of Georgia. The founder and former director of the Tulane Maritime Law Center, he a frequent contributor to journals in the law field and is the author of several books including Key Divergences between English and American Law of Marine Insurance.

Schoenbaum received his BA from St. Joseph's College, JD from the University of Michigan, and PhD from the University of Cambridge. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maritime Law Association of the United States, and the British Institute of International and Comparative Law.
