Christopher P. White graduated from Princeton University with a BA in biology. His interests and hobbies have always involved wildlife and the outdoors. He has penned scientific essays and a few short stories. He is the author of Chesapeake Bay: Nature of the Estuary, A Field Guide.

He is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and has contributed to Chesapeake Bay News and various mountaineering periodicals. A former staff biologist with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, White pursues freelance projects at his home in New Mexico.
